Lesson one
Every cost, explained before you trade
A real trade can carry up to three costs. This is the lesson we teach before anything else — so you can read a broker's order ticket and know exactly what you're paying, in money, not just in pips.
Spread
The gap between the buy and sell price. It is the cost of opening every trade, and it moves with market conditions.
Commission
A fixed charge some brokers apply per lot, usually in exchange for a tighter spread.
Overnight swap
Positions held past the daily rollover pay or receive a swap, depending on the instrument and direction.
