What you are trading

Indices

An index measures a basket of shares in one number. An index CFD tracks that number, so a single position gives exposure to the direction of the whole basket rather than to any one company in it.

Traded as a CFD: you take a position on the price, you never own the underlying asset.

  • Each index follows the trading calendar of its home exchange.

  • Company earnings and central-bank decisions move whole indices, not only single shares.

  • An index can gap between its close and its next open, so a position held overnight can reopen away from your stop.

How it trades with us

Index CFDs are cash-settled and carry no shareholder rights: no dividends are received, no votes are cast, and there is no share certificate behind the position.

Traded as a CFD: you take a position on the price, you never own the underlying asset.

What it costs

Every market here is priced the same way your account is priced: one all-in spread, or a tighter spread with a fixed commission per lot. Nothing is added on top for a particular market.
